Soweto Taxi Fares from 3 June 2026 - WATA/JTA Zola, Jabulani, Emdeni, Orlando, Bara and Town Routes
The joint WATA/JTA fare notice lists new Soweto taxi fares from 3 June 2026 for routes from Zola, Jabulani, Zondi, Emdeni, Naledi, Dobsonville, Orlando East and West, Diepkloof, Mofolo, Dube and Green Village to Johannesburg (town), Baragwanath (Bara), Maponya, Jeppe, Highgate and Leratong Hospital.
WATA/JTA Soweto taxi fare increase
The Witwatersrand and Johannesburg taxi associations (WATA/JTA) have increased Soweto taxi fares with effect from 3 June 2026. The joint fare board covers local township runs to Johannesburg (marked "town" on the board), to Baragwanath (Bara), and feeder trips between Soweto sections and to Maponya, Jeppe, Highgate and Leratong Hospital.
